Having recently completed a major refurbishment program, which commenced in 2007, the hotel has now 198 fully refurbished rooms, enhanced lobby and restaurant facilities as well as two new accomadation floors. Novotel Canberra remains the leading hotel in the city of Canberra.

Intelligent Living was chosen to deliver a 198 room refurbishment, 5 floors in total. Each stage was completed over 12 weeks. This included:
